Integrated Therapies
The BSA unique transdisciplinary approach differentiates us from other schools. Every student has a team of teachers and clinicians with a lead person who oversees the student and all planning. This team collaborates daily to integrate therapeutic services and educational lessons throughout the day.
Our Therapeutic Services
Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA)
As part of our transdisciplinary approach, a board certified behavioral analyst, as well as registered behavior technicians when applicable, are on staff. The ABA methods utilized are intended to support students with autism spectrum disorders in varied ways.
Speech & Language Pathology
On-staff speech and language therapists are integral partners in delivering transdisciplinary services, providing treatment, support and care for students who have difficulties with communication, social-emotional skills, eating, drinking and/or swallowing.
Occupational Therapy
Occupational therapists evaluate current developmental levels of students, aiming to improve their fine and gross motor skills, their ability to self-regulate emotions, and their ability to participate in social interactions.
Social & Emotional Support
Adolescents are constantly growing and evolving. New issues may arise and need to be resolved. Students have access to a mental health professional on an as-needed basis.
